“Kashan Tlet was a young boy, who was loved by a very wise and knowledgeable Creek Mother, named Tawchalla. Each summer Kashan Tlet would look forward to summertime with his Creek Mother, spending their days on the shores of Klukshu Creek. As time went on, and they both grew older, Creek Mother would pass on her love for the land, and her passion for artistry to the now young man. In the spring of 2021, Kashan Tlet’s Creek Mother Tawchalla walked into the forest. She played a major role in Jared’s life and was the inspiration for this piece.” Jared Kane
“Kashan Tlet était un jeune garçon qui était aimé d’une mère creek très sage et cultivée, nommée Tawchalla. Chaque année, Kashan Tlet attendait avec impatience l’été pour passer ses journées avec sa mère Creek sur les rives du ruisseau Klukshu. Au fil du temps, et à mesure que tous deux vieillissaient, la mère Creek a transmis son amour de la terre et sa passion pour l’art au jeune homme. Au printemps 2021, Tawchalla, la mère creek de Kashan Tlet, est entrée dans la forêt. Elle a joué un rôle de premier plan dans la vie de Jared et fut l’inspiration de cette oeuvre.” Jared Kane
